Charlie McDonnell at the Tomorrow’s Web Conference

by Grant Bell on 4th November, 2009

Charlie McDonnell, an 18-year-old video blogger from Bath, United Kingdom and one of YouTube’s most popular. Joined us at the Tomorrow’s Web conference back in August to give a stellar talk on everything revolving around his life as a YouTube vlogger. Charlie has millions of fans all over the world, under his YouTube alias charlieissicoolike. He’s been interviewed by the BBC, The Guardian and even has his own personal signoff jingle voiced by Stephen Fry.

Mr Coollike’s talk has been sitting in my Vimeo account for months now, I’ve been depriving you all of one of the most insightful looks into how YouTube works, how Charlie has used the platform to generate his following and everything in between. Not to be missed! Be sure to check out Charlie’s latest project ChartJackers also.

Tweetie 2 is no exception.

We’re Back!

by Grant Bell on 13th September, 2009

It’s been just over a month since the Tomorrow’s Web conference, and although this has taken far too long to make an appearance, an appearance it has made. I’d like to briefly share how we’re expanding Tomorrow’s Web, to continue to support young people who share the passion for technology that we do.

I’m pleased to announce the Tomorrow’s Web blog, reporting on technology, entrepreneurship and the web. We’ll be shining the spotlight exclusively on these incredible young people and the exciting products they create. In the next few days we’ll be introducing you to the team, reporting from the UK, US, Germany, India, and more! Fresh worldwide coverage on the people creating tomorrow’s web.
